These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Manon, referred to here as "we" and "us". Manon is operated by Manon Technologies Pty Ltd (ACN 702 920 241), a company registered in Australia, reachable at support@manon.app. Your co-parent has their own agreement with us; you are not responsible for what they do, and they are not responsible for what you do.
By creating an account or using Manon you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy, which is part of them. If you do not accept them, do not use Manon.
Manon is for adults aged 18 or over who are a parent or carer of a child and share that child's care with someone in another home. You may only create an account for yourself. You may only invite, as your co-parent, the other parent or carer of the same child. You may not use Manon on behalf of a child, and children may not use it.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details private and for everything done under your account. If you think someone else has used it, change your password and tell us.
Manon is software that helps two households share a calendar, expenses, a child's health and school information, a journal, and messages, and that keeps a record of those messages which neither parent can alter.
Manon is not a legal service, a mediation service, a counselling service, a medical service or an emergency service. The people who built it are not lawyers, mediators or clinicians. Nothing Manon shows you, drafts for you or summarises for you is legal, medical, financial or psychological advice, and you should not rely on it as such. If you need advice, ask a professional. If you or a child are in danger, contact the police or emergency services in your country, not Manon.
Manon is one parent's tool. Using it does not create any agreement between you and your co-parent about parenting, money or anything else, and does not change any court order, parenting plan or agreement you already have. Only the two of you, or a court, can do that.
Manon uses an AI model to summarise incoming messages, draft replies, soften messages you are about to send, write short reflections and titles, read receipts, and transcribe voice notes. These are suggestions. They can misread tone, miss facts and be plainly wrong. You choose what to send, and you are responsible for what you send. The record shows what you sent, never what the AI suggested. Do not treat an AI summary of your co-parent's message as a substitute for reading it; the original is always one tap away.
The AI works from text you and your co-parent write. It has no knowledge of your legal situation, your court orders or your children beyond what is in the app. Its drafts are written to keep things calm and factual; that is a style, not advice.
Messages sent through Manon are permanent. Once sent, a message cannot be edited or deleted by you, by your co-parent, or by us on request. Health entries are likewise permanent; a mistake is corrected by adding a new entry, not by changing the old one. The app records when the shared record is opened and exported, and both parents can see that log. This is enforced by the database, and it is the reason the record is worth anything.
The Export feature produces a dated document of the record. We designed it to be accurate and complete, and to state clearly what it does and does not show. Whether any court, mediator, lawyer or agency accepts it, and what weight they give it, is entirely their decision, and we make no promise about it. Manon does not certify, notarise or authenticate documents.
Everything you write, upload or record in Manon is yours. You give us permission to store it, process it (including with the AI providers named in the Privacy Policy), show it to your co-parent according to the sharing rules of each feature, and include it in exports. That permission exists only so the app can work, and ends when the content is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for what you put in Manon. Only upload content you have the right to upload. Anything about your children is entered on your responsibility as their parent.
Manon exists to make things calmer for children. You agree not to use it to harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, defame or deceive anyone, including your co-parent; not to impersonate anyone or link an account to a person who is not the other parent or carer of your child; not to upload anything unlawful, or anything sexual involving a minor; not to try to read another household's data, probe or attack the service, or use it in a way that costs us or others out of proportion to ordinary use; and not to copy, resell or reverse-engineer the software. The AI features are metered; if a pattern of use looks automated or abusive, we may slow it down or stop it.
If you break these rules we may suspend or close your account. Because of section 5, closing an account does not delete messages your co-parent has a right to keep.
Linking two accounts creates one household. Either parent can leave it from Settings at any time, without the other's consent. The parent whose account the household was built on can remove the other parent. Leaving does not delete the shared record; see the Privacy Policy for exactly what stays and what goes. If you are the one leaving, you keep your own account, your private notes and your right to export the record first.
Manon is free for the first month after you create an account. After that it is a subscription, priced per parent, shown in the app and on the pricing page in your currency; in Australia that is A$99 a year or A$9.99 a month. Prices include GST where it applies.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Settings; your subscription then runs to the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew. We do not refund the unused part of a period, except where the law says we must. If we raise the price, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
After the free month, or if your subscription ends, you keep read-only access to the record and can still export it. You will not be able to add to it until you subscribe. Nothing is deleted because you are not paying.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or the consumer law of the country you live in. If Manon fails to do what a reasonable person would expect of it, you may be entitled to a remedy under that law whatever this section says.
We aim to keep Manon available all the time and we cannot promise it. There will be maintenance, and there will be faults. We will fix faults as fast as we can and we will not deliberately remove a feature you rely on without telling you in advance. Manon is early software built by a very small team; it will change, and some of those changes will be to things you liked.
We take real care with your data and your children's data, and the Privacy Policy sets out exactly how. Beyond what the law does not allow us to exclude, we are not responsible for loss that comes from relying on AI output as advice, from what your co-parent does or says, from a court or third party's decision about an export, from a fault or outage, or from something outside our control. Where we are responsible and the law lets us limit it, our responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything the law does not allow us to limit.
You can delete your account from Settings whenever you like; the Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data. We can suspend or close your account if you break section 7, and we can close Manon down altogether, in which case we will give you at least 60 days' notice and a way to export everything first.
We may change these terms. If a change matters to you, we will tell you in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect; if you keep using Manon after that, the new terms apply. Small wording changes will not be announced. The date at the top always shows the current version.
These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and any dispute about them will be dealt with by the courts of New South Wales, except that if you live outside Australia you may also rely on the mandatory consumer protections and courts of your own country. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
Questions about these terms, or anything else: support@manon.app. We are a very small team and we read everything.
